Standard of care for at-home monitoring in pediatrics, whether it is a cumbersome wired in-bed monitor for post-NICU infants or a parent’s keen eye watching for a recurrence of sepsis in post-critical illness patients, ranges from cumbersome to insufficient. With a background in diagnostics and bioengineering, and a novel remote sensor platform in hand, we are developing a comfortable, user-centered device that can deliver effective high-accuracy low-resolution information to the patient’s medical team.
